This was on Sergeant Hanley's character. We had to read some of the book and then copy and pasted the bits that we thought represented Sergeant Hanley's character. Have you ever done something like this before?

Hi Bloggers! As you might know NZ is in a lockdown. We have been doing google meets in place for school. In literacy before the lockdown we were focusing on a book called private peaceful. In that book there is some war were a boy got forced to go to war. So we made a propaganda. Have you ever made a propaganda before? Fell free to leave any feedback in the comments! 

Awesome Aladdin Production

Hi, this is our Aladdin Production. We have been working on this for 2 TERMS! But it has come a long way. This was such a fun experience. Each cast ( Tahi and Rua ) had two shows witch was heaps of fun. I wonder have you ever done a school production? Here are some photos!

hello, in maths this week we have done a math animation on probability. This term and some of last term we have been focusing on probability we have been looking at how much chance things have. Have you ever done probability? I hope you like it.

S.T.E.A.M Table Experiment

 

Hi this is our STEAM experiment. We had to create a structure to hold at least 1 textbook.

We did not get ours done in time but it was very successful. Its was very challenging with everyone yelling at each other but we made it. Have you ever done a STEAM Table experiment before? Bye! 

Cooking

 

Hi this is our cooking for math. It did not go well unfortunately. It all collided together. Have you done maths cooking before?  

Matariki Printing

 

Hi this is my Matariki Print. We had to get a regular A4 piece of paper and drew a Matariki design on. We used this is our draft. We had to reverse the image that we were using so it would print the correct way. Then we got a piece of A4 foam. We had to lightly draw on our design. The only thing was the foam was very easy to get holes and defects on it and if you had a hole or a chip taken out of is it would show on the final product. Then we had to take it into our Maker Space were we got our foam block and ink. There was heaps of different colours of ink. We had a roller that we rolled in the ink and onto the foam. Then we had to put the foam with the ink onto a piece of A3 paper. You could do as many as you liked you just had to wash and dry the foam. Next we had to make a frame. We had to use a stencil the teachers made and trace around the inside of it. Then we had to get a ruler and craft knifes and carefully cut the inside of the A3 paper. Once we finished that we cut the extra paper of our picture. Then we glued the frame to the picture then we were done. Have you ever done printing before? Bye!

Egg Challenge

 

Hi this is our Egg Challenge. We had a limited amount of materials that we had to wrap up and egg and drop it off of our mezzanine. Our egg did shatter but it was very fun. have you ever done an egg experiment before?  I hope you like it!

The Curse of Stanley Yelnats

 In reading we reading a book called holes. It is about a boy call Stanley Yelnats. His Last is actually Stanley spelt backwards.

• Stanley was sent to Camp Green Lake for a crime that he did not commit.
• He was accused for stealing shoes from a famous sports person.
• At Camp Green Lake he has to dig one hole a day 5ftx5ftx5ft.
• Camp Green Lake is a dry wasteland in the middle of nowhere, it is very hot.
• Stanley is over weight and gets bullied in school and comes from a poor family.
• Stanley's family is cursed. He always is in the wrong place at the wrong time.
